A Hubsoft (known as a hub) is software which can be installed to run as a server controlling p2p traffic. The hub can eccept or reject connections from clients according to its preset rules. Once connected to the hub the hub will pass information between client and the hub and vice versa. There are often many rules required to enter or stay in a hub once connected, These rules can apply to the amount of hubs that you are connected too, The amount of slots you have open, The amount of share you have. Infact there are often many rules and some hubs vary on their rules but if you do not meet the hubs rules it will often tell you what rules you didnt meet after being disconnected.
There is a section on most hubs that will ask you to register your hub and ask for reg server addresses along with a port sometimes pinger information too but you only need to register your hub if you want your hub to be listed on a public hublist. Registering your hub to the public hublists will help bring traffic to your hub. Some hublists do not eccept registration from the hub so you would have to go to their sites and add them to their lists manually but there are many public hublists to choose from.
If you find any problems with your hubsoft you can ask on our forum, Someone might be able to assist you. Alternatively you can visit the site where you downloaded the hubsoft from. Please submit bug reports to the developer of your hubsoft and not to us.
Are you a Hubsoft developer? Want your hubsoft listed here? We need to know the hubsoft name, download link, website, screenshot page (if one exists), protocol, also any other useful information. Please email the admin
